Term 3 Design Technology Year 3 and Year 4

In Class 3, we have been immersed into the world of Italy.  In Geography, we learnt about the human and physical features of Italy and researched some of Italy's famous landmarks. In DT, we used our enthusiasm for Italy to investigate, design, make and evaluate pizza! We tasted existing products and then designed our own pizza, taking into consideration which ingredients we could use to make it healthy and part of a varied, balanced diet (a link to our science topic). The most exciting part was the making! We used pita bread as our base and loaded our pizzas with ingredients such as pepperoni, mushrooms and sweetcorn. We had so much fun and learnt lots about healthy food!
