Actual Size

This week the children in Class 2 have been studying the book ‘Actual Size’ by Steve Jenkins. We have been measuring the actual size of animals in the book using standard and non-standards measurements. Did you know the Siberian tiger is 4.25m from nose to tail? The great white shark is 6.5m long and has teeth 10cm in length. The saltwater crocodile is longer at 7m, but our favourite is the giant squid at a whopping 18m long! Be careful if you are swimming in the ocean near New Zealand.
